Sealing with lead seals is the most traditional way of sealing. The lead seal seals can be used in combination with the sealing pliers NZT-1P and seal-wire . It takes little force to squeeze this relatively soft metal around the twisted seal wire. The seal lead is available in two sizes: the most commonly used 8 mm and the larger variant of 10 mm. These leads are suitable for sealing meters and barrels. A bag of 8 mm leads contains approximately 525 pieces (1 kg). A bag with 10 mm seal seals contains approximately 350 pieces (1 kg).
Traditional sealing method; available in 8 mm and 10 mm
Sealing with real lead seal seals is one of the most traditional sealing methods. The seal seals are made of lead for extremely reliable operation. The material is easy to press down to sealing wire with an sealing pliers . Lead is relatively soft, flexible and malleable compared to other metals. A more environmentally friendly alternative to lead seal seals are the plastic seal leads in various eye-catching colors.
The lead seal seals are available in two diameters, namely 8 mm and 10 mm. On a 10 mm lead seal seal there is more space for a possible embossing.
To be used in combination with sealing wire and sealing pliers
The way of sealing in combination of seal seals and seal wire is very simple and flexible in use. To complete the sealing, sealingwire is also needed. The ends of the seal wire are pushed through the lead seal seal. The ends of the wire are wrapped around each other to create extra grip. Finally, the seal is pinched shut with a suitable sealing plier. Once the lead lead has been squeezed shut, withdrawal of the seal wire is no longer possible.
Packed per bag of 1 kg (350 pcs. 10 mm / 525 pcs. 8 mm)
The lead seal seals from Navacqs are packed in a bag of approximately 1 kg. The weight of an 8 mm and 10 mm lead seal seal differs from each other. As a result, a bag of 8 mm leads contains approximately 525 pieces. A bag with 10 mm seal seals contains approximately 350 pieces.
Suitable for meters, barrels, ATM cassettes
Sealing with lead seal seals is a reliable way of sealing. The material is resistant to moisture and is therefore suitable for sealing gas meters, electricity meters and water meters, for example. However, the seal may only be installed by a certified installer in consultation with the network operator. As a private individual, it is prohibited to replace seals in the meter cupboard without the permission of the network operator!
As an alternative to seal wire, pliers and lead, use can be made of the Twist Seal. No sealing pliers are required for sealing with the Twist Seal. Another difference is that each Twist Seal has a unique number. This makes fraud even more difficult.
