What are seals used for?

Seals are physical barriers used to secure an object or space to prevent unauthorized access. They are often used to ensure the safety and security of goods, documents, containers, and buildings. Seals come in various forms, such as high-security seals, padlocks, and seals with serial numbers, labels, and tape.

What materials are seals made of?

Navacqs seals are made of various materials. There are seals made of metal, nylon, HDPE, polypropylene, biodegradable polypropylene, stainless steel, galvanized iron, steel, aluminium, ABS plastic, polyethene, galvanized steel, tin-plated metal, galvanized steel wire, and polycarbonate.

How do I find the right product for my application?

On our website, you can easily search for the desired industry or application of the seal to find the appropriate one. You can also always contact us by phone (010-4950000), email, or through our contact page.

Are the products ISO certified?

Yes, many of our products are ISO certified. On the product page you will find a mention of an ISO certificate with the orange check marks at the top and in the product description. The High Security Seals all have an ISO certificate anyway.

If you need a specific ISO or any other type of certificate, you can also contact one of our employees.

Can seals be customized with printing?

Yes, most seals can be printed with your logo, barcode, and/or numbering. Please inquire about this via email (sales@navacqs.nl) or by phone (010-4950000), or visit the respective product page for more information.

Why do I need High-Security Seals?

These are required for international transports. These are usually approved by various customs authorities worldwide, including C-TPAT (USA.) and have an ISO certificate.

Container seals with the official ISO are mandatory for international transport. Customs authorities around the world therefore only accept officially certified container seals. Both the C-PTAT and the ISPS require the use of certified container seals.

Is the clearance between twist locks and the container normal?

It is normal to have some clearance between twist locks and the container. Twist locks are the locking mechanisms used to secure containers on trucks, trains, or ships. These twist locks require a certain amount of clearance to ensure they can properly lock and unlock when used to secure the container. The clearance between the twist locks and the container is necessary to ensure that the twist locks securely hold the container. Too much clearance between the twist locks and the container can cause the container to move during transport, while too little clearance can result in damage to the twist locks or the container.

What does “simultaneous locking” mean?

“Simultaneous locking” means making locks “keyed alike.” This means that multiple locks can be opened with the same key. It can be convenient when you have multiple doors or locks that you want to be able to open with the same key.

What is container lashing equipment?

Container lashing equipment refers to the tools used to secure shipping containers on a ship, truck, or other transportation means. This includes twist locks, lashing eyes, bridge fittings, corner castings, and lifting lugs. It is essential to hold the containers securely in place during transport to prevent damage to the containers and accidents.

What are dunnage bags?

Dunnage bags are designed to fill and stabilize spaces in a truck, ship, train wagon, or aeroplane during the transportation of goods. This prevents the load from sliding or even falling over.

How do dunnage bags work?

To use dunnage bags, you place them between the goods and against the walls of the transport container. Then, you inflate the bags using an air compressor until they have the right amount of pressure to hold the goods in place. This ensures that the goods cannot shift or fall during transport, preventing damage and injuries. Navacqs’ dunnage bags are available in various sizes and shapes to be tailored to the specific shape and size of the cargo being transported. After use, the dunnage bags can be easily deflated, folded, and stored for future use.

What types of tie-down straps are available?

In the Navacqs range, we have three different types of tie-down straps: We have 1-piece and 2-piece lashing straps in our range. There are also different types of ratchets available, such as the hobby ratchet and the ERGO ratchet. The breaking strengths also vary from 800 daN to 5,000 daN.

Can I have webbing slings customized?
