The Breech Base Lashing Eye (D-Ring) LP-21 can only be used in combination with the Breech Base Deck Socket DF-66. It is a LP-11 (36 ton) lashing eye, which is easy to disassemble. A common reason for choosing this type of detachable lashing eye is that it only needs to be placed if it is actually used to secure cargo. Because it is easy to remove the lashing eye again, the surface remains multifunctional. Another big advantage of this lashing eye is that it is locked after installation. The eye can therefore be loaded in all four directions. The exact angle of the placement depends on the angle of placement of the Breech Base Deck Socket DF-66. Due to the lock (visible in the photos) the lashing eye cannot come loose and it remains firmly in place in the deck socket.
The placement of the Breech Base Lashing Eye (D-Ring) LP-21 in the socket is only possible from the top. This can be useful in places with limited space. To place it, the lashing eye must be turned a small turn (1/8). This will cause the locking catch to snap into place. Because in this deck socket – in addition to this LP-21 lashing eye – also the Breech Base Deck Socket DF-66 can be used, it is possible to secure a container and fix another construction right next to it by means of, for example, lashing straps or chains.
The Breech Base Lashing Eye (D-Ring) LP-21 is made of hardened cast steel and has a primer protective layer.
