A common reason for choosing dismountable lashing eyes in this design is that they only need to be installed when they are actually needed for load securing. Since the lashing eye can be easily removed, the surface remains multifunctional. Another major advantage of this lashing eye is that it is locked after installation. The eye can therefore be loaded in all four directions. The exact installation angle depends on the installation angle of the Breech Base deck socket DF-66. The locking mechanism (see photos) prevents the lashing eye from coming loose. It remains securely fastened in the deck socket.

Easy installation

To fasten the lashing eye, it must be turned 1/8 turn. This allows the locking pawl to engage. Since the BF-66 twistlock can also be used in this base plate, it is possible to secure a container and another structure next to it, e.g. with tie-down straps or chains.
