The New Fork Seal is an extra safe High Security container seal consisting of a Bolt Seal and a steel bracket. This means that the seal can also be used directly as a one-time container lock. This makes the New Fork Seal extremely suitable for sealing containers with valuable cargoes. The New Fork Seal has been tested and ISO 17712: 2013 certified by a third party independent party, Dayton T. Brown. The New Fork Containerseal is supplied from stock with the text “SEALED” in combination with a unique ascending numbering.

The advice is to seal the seal with the pin down. This prevents moisture or other liquid from entering the can.

Extra safe: High Security Bolt Seal with steel shackle as container lock

The New Fork Seal consists of two parts, namely a Bolt Seal and a steel bracket. This means that the seal can also be used directly as a one-time container lock. The steel bracket is placed around the bars of the container door. The bracket is then closed by the Bolt Seal. This is placed between two metal plates around the bracket. The breaking strength of the New Fork Seal is 1000 kg

The seal bracket is provided with a number of teeth. This allows the steel bracket to be placed tightly around the bars on any common sea container. The supplied metal plates ensure that when the Bolt Seal is in place, the bracket can no longer be opened. Both metal plates are manufactured in a special way, so unauthorized people do not have access to the fraud-sensitive parts of the Bolt Seal.

These parts of the Bolt Seal are hidden between the metal plates and steel bracket. For example, the closing mechanism of the New Fork Container Seal is not accessible. The steel pin of the bolt seal is also not accessible after sealing. In contrast to other ISO certified container seals, the New Fork Seal cannot be opened with solid bolt cutters. The seal can be opened by, among other things, cutting the bracket.

Suitable for sealing and securing valuable cargo in containers

The New Fork Seal has a double function. First of all, the seal is suitable as a mandatory ISO certified container seal. The second function of the New Fork Seal is the function as a one-time container lock.

This makes the New Fork Seal extremely suitable for sealing containers with valuable cargoes. Thanks to the well thought-out design, fraud, damage and theft can be prevented.

Container seal / lock provided with the official ISO 17712: 2013 Certificate

A container seal with the ISO 17712: 2013 certificate is required for the transport of export containers. The New Fork Seal has been tested and approved by an independent third party. The leading American company Dayton T. Brown has extensively tested and approved the seal.

The process consists of two parts, including: inspecting the product and inspecting the production process of the seals. The seals are checked for a number of physical properties. The seal must, among other things, bear the manufacturer’s name. In addition, the seal must be provided with a unique imprint and ascending numbering. Finally, the presence of the letter “H” is mandatory on the seal. This stands for High Security. As a result, container seals are also called High Security Seals.

Furthermore, the seal must be provided with a series of aspects to prevent (visible) fraud. First of all, the seal must have an anti-spin system. Second, the seal must have a minimum breaking strength, so that the seal cannot be opened without tools. Finally, both ends must be made of steel and have a minimum width. This is because the seal cannot be knocked through the lock. These aspects are tested in the Dayton T. Brown laboratory in the USA.

In addition to certifying the seal, the production process and quality assurance are also considered. Every container seal must be reliable and meet the strict requirements of ISO.

Approved by customs authorities worldwide, including C-TPAT (USA)

Container sheds with the official ISO17712: 2013 are mandatory for intercontinental transport. Customs agency all over the world only accept officially certified container seals. For example, the American customs authority (C-TPAT) only allows ISO certified container seals. The term C-TPAT stands for Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism and is a collaboration between Mexico, Canada and the United States, among others.

There is also a collaboration in the maritime sector, namely the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, abbreviated to ISPS. This code was developed by the International Maritime Organization and aims to prevent terrorism in ships and port facilities. Here too it is mandatory to use an ISO 17712: 2013 certified container seal.

Provided with a one-off unique imprint and ascending numbering

Each container seal is provided with a unique combination of printing and numbering. These requirements come from the ISO regulations. The New Fork Containerseal is supplied from stock with the text “SEALED” in combination with a unique ascending numbering.

This unique numbering is lasered on the ABS plastic container of the container seal and engraved on the head of the pen. The numbering is also engraved in the steel bracket. Each part of the New Fork Containerseal has the same unique numbering.

Both Navacqs and the manufacturer of the seal ensure that this unique combination is only produced once.
