The Bolt Seal Protector SP-4 protects an installed container seal (bolt seal). The SP-4 fits exactly around the lock of the container. In addition to protecting the container seal, the Seal Protector SP-4 also serves as a container lock. The bright red steel housing protects the Duro® F320 padlock against unauthorized persons. The container is closed so well. At the same time, the original container seal serves as proof that no unauthorized persons have been on the load.

Extra protection of container sealing

The Bolt Seal Protector SP-4 has been specially developed to secure and protect the container seals. The SP-4 fits exactly around the lock of the container. The container seal is also placed here. In addition to protecting the lock itself, the SP-4 has an important function. A container seal is mandatory for export and always has a unique imprint. It is the international standard for the prevention of fraud in container transport. The Bolt Seal Protector SP-4 secures the container seal – applied by the shipper. This not only protects the container against intruders but more importantly: the original container seal serves as proof that no unauthorized persons have been at the load.

The hardened steel housing ensures a high degree of security. The housing consists of two parts that are connected via a steel hinge. This makes the Bolt Seal Protector SP-4 easy to place the lock. The Duro® pin lock is incorporated into the seal protector and ensures secure closure.

Can also be used as a container lock

The Seal Protector SP-4 in addition to the function of protecting the container seal also has the function as container lock. The Bolt Seal Protector SP-4 is placed around the lock of the container. Once the lock is in place, it is not possible to open the latch. This means that the seal protector can also be used as a container lock.

The SP-4 container lock is often used by transporters who provide pre- or post-transport. This reduces the risk of fraud en route and thus any liability. Another application is locking a sealed container on site. The lock can be removed at the time of handover to the carrier.

Equipped with Duro® pin lock with 3 keys

The Bolt Seal Protector SP-4 is provided with a high-quality and strong padlock, namely the Duro® F320 Block Lock. This block lock has a different shape from the most common padlocks. Padlocks are often provided with a shackle. The Duro® F320 does not have a bracket, but a horizontally placed steel pin. The steel pin is placed between the hardened steel bracket. When the F320 is placed on the Budget Container Lock, the steel pin is difficult to reach. Hardly any tools, such as a grinder or chisel, can reach the essential part.

In addition, the cylinder of the Duro® padlock is equipped with special steel anti-drill plates. The block lock comes with 3 keys.

Manufactured from high-quality steel in a striking red colour

The Seal Protector SP-4 is a strong lock made of steel. The Duro® F320 is even made of hardened steel. This makes it a very strong and reliable lock. The shackle of the lock has a bright red colour. This colour clearly shows from a distance that the container is secured. Naturally, the coating serves as a protection against corrosion to ensure years of use.
