Despite its relatively lower breaking strength of 240 kg, the CS-2 is more reliable for some applications, especially when it comes to moving parts and potentially high peak loads.

Steel wire (1.8 mm) fraying when broken, making reuse impossible

The steel wire of the CS-2 Cable Seal 300 consists of a series of braided thin steel wires. The total diameter is 1.8 mm. The thinner wires that are braided together have a diameter of 1.15 mm. The 1.15 mm wire also consists of smaller braided wires with a diameter of only 0.35 mm. The bundling of the many small wires makes the seal flexible and at the same time very strong.

Another important argument for the use of the bundling of thin wires is the prevention of fraud. When cutting the steel wire, the bundle of thin wires fray. As a result, it is not possible to reseal the steel wire of this seal. Reuse is impossible with the CS-2 Cable Seal 300. This makes the seal extra safe.
