Product description SBS Turtle Container Lock
The SBS Turtle Container Lock with the Abloy® PL-358T padlock has the highest KIWA SCM “Heavy Duty” certification, which is required by many insurers. It provides reliable security for containers and trailers. For long-term use, it is recommended to clean the lock monthly, for example with WD40.
In addition to the KIWA SCM certification, the lock is TAPA TSR certified at levels 2 and 3, ensuring the security of goods during road transport.
The included Abloy® PL358T Protec² padlock is made of boron steel and has the SKG quality mark. It meets CEN class 5, representing “Extra High Security.” The lock comes with two keys and a key certificate, which is required to order additional keys, exclusively through Navacqs/ASSA Abloy®.
It is possible to configure multiple padlocks to use the same key, allowing them to be opened with one key. Additionally, the container locks can be included in a master key system, where each individual key only opens one lock, and a master key provides access to all locks. The TSR certification sets specific requirements for transport companies and their trucks to minimize theft and other risks during transportation.

The Abloy® PL358T Protec² padlock is SKG certified and is known as one of the best padlocks in the world. The shackle, with a diameter of 14 mm, is made of boron steel. The addition of boron to the steel alloy provides extremely high hardness compared to other types of steel.
Equipped with CEN (Central European Norm) Class 5
The Central European Norm was developed to compare padlocks. The classification ranges from CEN class 1 to CEN class 6. The Abloy® PL358T Protec² Padlock holds a CEN class 5 rating. The designation of this class is ‘Extra High Security.’
Key Certificate for Reordering Keys or Lock
The SBS Turtle Container Lock with the Abloy® PL-358T padlock comes with two keys. Ordering additional keys for the Abloy® PL358T padlock can only be done through Navacqs/ASSA Abloy®. They utilize the Protec² system, so keys cannot be ordered from a regular locksmith. To order additional keys, the key certificate must be presented. The key certificate is a card that comes with the order. Be sure to store it securely, as no keys can be supplied without the key certificate.
It is also possible to provide locks that can be keyed alike. The cylinders of the locks are customized by Abloy® so that multiple padlocks can be opened with the same key. This can be done upon request. Please contact us for more information.
Finally, container locks can also be added to a master key system. In this setup, individual padlocks have their own key, which cannot open other padlocks. Installation
As mentioned, you install the SBS Turtle Container Lock on the container or trailer. Upon ordering, you will receive an installation kit, including a manual for attachment. You install the SBS Turtle Container Lock on the doors of the container or trailer. It consists of two parts: the left part goes on the left door, and the right part goes on the right door. This construction allows for approximately 15 mm of play. When the doors are closed, they can be secured using the Abloy® PL-358T padlock, which is placed inside the Turtle. This ensures the lock is protected, as the Turtle is made entirely of stainless steel, is rust-resistant, and finished with a white powder coating.
